These courses are for people over the age of 18 with a cancer diagnosis, and their close supporters, who have already attended a Introduction to Living Well Day or a Living Well with the Impact of Cancer course.

Introduction to Healthy Cooking
This practical based course will demonstrate how to prepare and cook the types of food recommended in the Penny Brohn Cancer Care Healthy Eating Guidelines. Some theory on the recommendations will be included as well as discussion on how to stock a food cupboard with healthy ingredients.
Food to Lift the Spirits
This course provides ideas on how to prepare healthy dishes in line with the Penny Brohn Cancer Care Healthy Eating Guidelines which the family can enjoy. The way in which we use food to support our emotional and spiritual wellbeing will be fully discussed and explored.
Living with the impact of cancer is often a stressful experience both for those with a cancer diagnosis and also those supporting them. During this course you will explore and experience relaxation and learn simple relaxation exercises that you can practice yourself. The course will enable participants to gain an understanding of how to use these techniques to manage symptoms and side effects of cancer as well as restoring and maintaining health.
Invitation to the Practice of Meditation
This one day workshop introduces you to the practice of meditation. Meditation can help you manage stress, anxiety and pain. It teaches you how to find a quiet place inside yourself and a deeper connection with life.
