Ever fancied getting involved with fundraising events? Have you got great skills to offer? Could you donate some of your time to Penny Brohn Cancer Care?

The Events Team at Penny Brohn Cancer Care works tirelessly all year round to put on a calendar of fundraising events, ranging from marathons to art exhibitions. Penny Brohn Cancer Care relies on people taking part in these events and raising sponsorship to help us make the money that we need to keep our doors open to people with cancer.

We have many varied volunteer roles available - there really is something for everyone! Ranging from getting involved with events, by marshalling or manning a ‘cheering point’, to office-based work such as research or assisting with the organisation of events. Whether you could offer a day a week, a just few hours here and there, we would love to hear from you.

Would you like to support us by offering your time or skills on a regular basis?

Volunteers work for the Charity at all levels and are able to gain experience, satisfaction and enjoyment from their valued contribution. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities in marketing, fundraising, education, trading and much more...

There are long and short term roles as well one-off events. We have a wide range of roles that require volunteers, from helping out at exciting fundraising events, to working in the marketing department, gardening and retail work.

Helpline Volunteers 

When it is needed most you can listen, support and inform

Penny Brohn Cancer Care is currently recruiting volunteers to work on our National Helpline for people living with cancer and their supporters.

The line is open between 9.30am and 5.00pm each weekday and volunteers cover one, 4 hour session a week. We could not provide this invaluable service without our dedicated volunteer team. We are currently looking for people who feel they have an ability to help those affected by cancer, are able to give four hours a week and attend regular training and supervision sessions. There are a variety of shifts on offer, either weekday mornings or afternoons. There is of course full training, following a careful selection process.
