We will also provide ideas on how to prepare healthy dishes in line with our Healthy Eating Guidelines.  Particular focus will be given to meals that all the family can enjoy even those resistant to healthy eating.  The focus of the day is on foods that provide a feel-good factor and a selection of delicious healing recipes will be demonstrated.

Meditation Day Courses

Relaxation and Meditation

Medication cultivates awareness of all aspects of your life, in particular of your thoughts.  It can help create a quiet space in your mind that you can return to in times of anxiety and stress.  This course will explain how meditation can benefit you and give you some experience of using meditation techniques.

Relaxation and Breath Work

Relaxation and breath work techniques help you to relax your body.  This course aims to provide you with simple to learn and easy to use tools to help you stay relaxed and centred even in stressful situations.  We also look at how stress and relaxation affect the immune system and how relaxation can help you manage the symptoms and side effects of cancer and its treatment as well as restoring and maintaining health.

Relaxation and Imagery

In using imagery we create and project a mental picture of a desirable outcome, in as much detail as possible and using all the senses.  Used effectively in this way our mind can influence what happens in our body.  We use imagery to help support health.  This course explores and explains how you can find and use a healing.

Wellness Day Courses

Wellness and Creativity - using Creative Expression

This one day course takes the archetype of the Hero's Journey as a framework to help you make sense of your experience of cancer.  We will use movement, creativity and imagery to help you reconnect with your inner resources and joy of life.  This course offers a nourishing healing space and the opportunity to gain practical tools for living well.

Wellness and Creativity - using Imagery and Art
