This course will introduce you to the Bristol Approach which Penny Brohn Cancer Care uses in its work with clients. You will learn how this approach offers care for the ‘whole person’. This programme is designed for complementary therapists and healthcare professionals with a recognised qualification in their field.
This certificate programme is comprised of four single day courses that will introduce you to some of the main foundations of the Bristol Approach and is for those wanting an understanding of how we design services that support people living with cancer. It also gives a thorough understanding of cancer as a disease. The courses are available to all complementary therapists and healthcare professionals who have a recognised qualification.

2. What is cancer?
3. Self-help approaches
4. Effective listening and responding skills

These four courses must be completed within 12 months (in any order) if studied as part of the Foundation Certificate, however they can also be taken as stand alone individual day courses. After completing the Foundation Certificate you can continue your study with the Higher Certificate: The Bristol Approach to working with people with cancer.
