The Penny Brohn Memorial Lecture - A Stiff Upper Lip – A Good Prescription For Cancer? How coping styles can affect outcomes - took place on Tuesday 20th March 2007 from 1.30-3.30pm at Church House Westminster, London and was followed by a VIP Reception at the House of Commons Terrace, hosted by Liam Fox MP.
The Lecture examined how people are able to transform their experience of living with cancer with appropriate psychological and spiritual support throughout their cancer journey. The event highlighted the need for a wider understanding of the benefits of psychological and spiritual support in enabling people to live well with cancer, and opened up a debate on how this overlooked area of cancer service provision could be improved.
