Last year, legacy donations to Penny Brohn Cancer Care enabled us to double the number of calls answered on our helpline and to offer more access funds to those wishing to attend a residential course.
There are a number of ways in which you can help those who come to the Penny Brohn Cancer Care in the future.
Anyone aged 18 or over can make a Will, and it is one of the most important things you can do. It is a simple and inexpensive way of ensuring that your money and possessions go to the people you want them to. Without a Will, the law will decide how your Estate is to be distributed.
Penny Brohn Cancer Care has compiled a free guide to help you make or change your Will. It is packed with useful information about planning your Will, valuing your Estate and preparing to see your solicitor.
And of course, we do point out that any gifts to charity are deducted from your Estate before Inheritance Tax is calculated! And we outline the different ways such gifts can be made.
From the Charity's point of view, legacies are an investment in the future, a crucial way of ensuring that Penny Brohn Cancer Care will be able to continue to deliver the long-term support we provide to people with cancer and those close to them.
