Cancer can affect your life in so many ways. The Living Well course encourages you to explore the impact of cancer on your life with people who understand the journey you are on. The course allows to you share your experience with others in similar situations, and explore the steps you can take to help you live well.
You will learn about the different aspects of our approach, including information and discussion on healthy eating and physical activity. You will also explore the impact of cancer on your emotions and relationships as well as some of the practical issues.
Throughout the course you will experience different self help techniques including relaxation, meditation, mindfulness and imagery and find out more about the science behind our approach.
This course is offered to those over the age of 18 with a cancer diagnosis and their close supporters, as one of the first steps on your journey with us.
We have been running Living Well with the Impact of Cancer courses since 2010. In 2011 we began an in-depth, long-term evaluation of the course together with the University of Westminster, which was published in 2013. Further information about the report can be seen here: Living Well Evaluation
