Kilimanjaro Summit Climb

Tue 14th - Sat 25th September 2010

Standing high above the African landscape at 5,895 metres, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world and this is your chance to reach it's summit.

Your trek will take you through the beautiful unspoilt wilderness of Tanzania, while you experience every eco-system known to mankind. By day you will enjoy breathtaking views of the beautiful African landscape and by night you will enjoy cool, crisp air and star-studded African skies.

Not only will you be achieving a huge personal challenge, but every step you take will help to change the lives of people living with cancer.

Why should I do it?

Sadly, almost everyone in the UK will be touched by cancer at some point in their lives. At Penny Brohn Cancer Care we believe that everyone affected by cancer should have access to life-changing care and support. We need your help to make this happen. By taking on this challenge you will be raising vital funds to help us continue our work and be there for more people who need us.

Penny Brohn Cancer Care is working in partnership with Charity Challenge to bring you this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Charity Challenge has over ten years experience of organising these trips and can ensure you a safe and enjoyable challenge in line with their responsible tourism policy.

What will we do for you?

Here at Penny Brohn Cancer Care we understand the commitment and dedication it takes to train and fundraise for a challenge like this. That's why we'll be here for you every step of the way. Our small but dedicated fundraising team will be here to answer any questions you may have and support you as much as we can as you prepare for the challenge ahead.

We will provide you with a fundraising pack, a Penny Brohn Cancer Care tee shirt, personalised sponsor forms, an online sponsorship page and any other materials you may need to help you in your fundraising. We will also invite you to visit Penny Brohn Cancer Care to see for yourself the difference your support is really making.

"Those who have used the services of Penny Brohn Cancer Care have had to climb more than mountains. This served as an inspiration in our bid to complete our challenge. We realised that nothing is impossible when you put your mind to it and this combination of the mind and body, pushing it, challenging it and working with it, is also at the heart of what Penny Brohn Cancer Care does." -Josephine Bush, former Penny Brohn Cancer Care challenge participant.
