What is Bodywork?
17 February 2012
Kind and gentle touch helps your body to relax and unwind, supporting your immune system and helping you manage symptoms such as pain, anxiety and disturbed sleep.
Massage uses skin to skin contact, to help release muscle tension and support the circulation.
Shiatsu was developed in Japan and is related to acupuncture. It uses various kinds of touch at the acupuncture points and meridians to help support your internal energy and vitality. Shiatsu is given through clothing – please wear loose comfortable clothes to your session, including socks.
Reflexology is massage done on the feet and sometimes the hands. This makes it particularly suitable if you are looking for some help to relax, but do not like whole body massage. It can also be helpful while going through treatment.
